Too expensive! As it has been reported on the local news, they DO NOT stock antivenin for snake bites. WHY? They take in $24 million dollars. Went there for chest pain. They looked like they knew what they were doing. I did find it odd that they gave me a 55% discount because I had no insurance. I appreciate that, but they are sticking it to the insurance companies? Next time? I think I will take the risk of dying and go to Ardmore! ESPECIALLY FOR SNAKES BITES!
now this hospital has treated me fairly well for emergency's and none. they do have a fairly friendly staff. some of the nurse staff seem grumpy. but at least they're not hurting ya or anything like that. i would recommend this hospital over tishomingo's or ardmore's otherwise i'd suggest durant. if you're in the area or are in a wreck and there's an emergency and this is your closest location i'd say it's safe. granted some people have had issues with this hospital such as them refusing to provide service for a friends dad who has cancer he had to go to durant, the hospital in madill was saying that they couldn't treat him because of his insurance. seems like a hit and miss in the Marshall Johnston and Carter County area's for hospitals.
